Collinsworth Grant

One of our goals at the Clinch Valley Beekeepers Association is to help the next generation of beekeepers get started. Thanks to the generosity of E.T. Collinsworth and other former/current CVBA members, every year in March we are blessed to offer 2 to 4 grants to novice beekeepers.
These grants provide young, aspiring beekeepers the equipment they will need to begin their journey in honey bee cultivation. We endeavor to pass on the knowledge and traditions of our members to ensure honeybees will thrive in north east Tennessee.the future.
Honeybees are hardworking, tirelessly gathering nectar and pollen to share with their hive. They provide a vital ecological service by pollinating agricultural, garden and native plants. Explore more about these fascinating insects by participating in the Collinsworth Grant.
Do you love the outdoors? Enjoy learning new things? Like working with your hands? Are you up for a challenge?
The grants are open to all Hancock, Hawkins, Grainger, Union, and Claiborne County residents 10-21 years of age who are new to beekeeping. Younger applicants have priority. All applications will be reviewed by our executive committee and the most compelling will be offered a grant.
